People make a very big deal about how long it takes to "fill" an electric car compared to a gas car. But the comparison is all wrong. It's ICE thinking applied to EVs.
Sure, for a road trip, the comparison is apt. But most days, I don't road trip, i just plug in at home.
If I add up the time I spent each whole year driving to gas stations, paying, and filling my gas car before 2012 it would exceed the amount of time I spend "filling" my EV per year now.
The general daily experience with an EV is actually: you wake up each morning with a full tank, and rarely worry about it at all.
Driving 10,000 miles a year in an EV will mean you're moving for an average of only 8 days and parked for 357. That's plenty of time to charge it. Electricity is everywhere, and you can easily make your own.
