The charts finds that US states are embracing EVs at very different speeds. Covering the state transition from different angles, including sales and fleet share data to public policies implemented and EV manufacturing. It also includes some nuanced analysis on the economic and political differences among states and how that has impacted EV adoption.

The chart highlights how 8 states had EVs representing more than 10% of sales in the first half of 2023. While California is indeed in the lead, other states like Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, Colorado, and New Jersey are beginning to tackle the EV adoption with gusto.
