Porsche; The German brand Porsche returns to its roots and is committed, more than ever, to electric mobility.
After the invention of the automobile, Ferdinand Porsche designed his first electric vehicle at the end of the 19th century, the Lohner-Porsche Mixte Hybrid . More than a century later, Porsche returns to its roots and is committed, more than ever, to electric mobility.
In the case of Mexico, recently, the Volkswagen Group announced a collaboration alliance with Evergo , the most advanced and sophisticated platform for public charging stations for hybrid and electric vehicles in Latin America.
This agreement has the purpose of multiplying the public charging network for electric and hybrid vehicles currently available in the country, with the installation of 15 fast charging sites (with 150 kW chargers and with the capacity to increase their power in the future ) on the most important roads in Mexico in the next three years.
Porsche's Plan for Mexico
In the specific case of Porsche , this collaboration will benefit users of cars with Porsche electric and hybrid propulsion systems ( Taycan, Cayenne E-Hybrid and Panamera E-Hybrid ), who will be able to have access to a 150-kW fast charger in each of these 15 charging sites.
This collaboration agreement with Evergo allows Porsche to strengthen the public charging network with the installation of faster and smarter points, directly benefiting users of electric and hybrid vehicles. Now they will be able to have greater supply options for their vehicles , as well as access to chargers for exclusive use in different locations on national highways.
The Evolution of Porsche Electromobility
In 1898, Ferdinand Porsche designed his first electric vehicle, the Lohner-Porsche Mixte Hybrid . Many, many years later, in 2010, the sports car manufacturer took up the concept of electrification with the 911 GT3 R Hybrid, the first Porsche racing car with partially electric drive. A year later, with the arrival of the Cayenne e-Hybrid and Panamera e-Hybrid , the Stuttgart manufacturer demonstrated that efficiency, luxury and sportiness can be closely related.
For 2013, Porsche presented the 918 Spyder , in addition to being the first plug-in hybrid vehicle approved for the street, it was immortalized by breaking the record for production cars on the Nordschleife circuit of the Nürburgring track, with a time of 6:57 minutes. In 2019, Porsche revealed the Taycan, its first 100% electric vehicle.
Currently, in addition to its notable participation in the Formula E World Championship , Porsche is taking the next big step towards electric mobility, with the Mission X concept , a two-seater hypercar developed for the brand's 75th anniversary.
