Francisco Cabeza Santillana, president of AMIVE, explained that the objective is to unify the projects, public policies and needs of industry representatives to create a complete ecosystem around the electric vehicle market in Mexico.

Representatives of business chambers, associations, vehicle manufacturers and electric chargers in Mexico will promote the entire chain involved in electromobility with the creation of the first Mexican Association to Promote Electric Vehicles (AMIVE).

Francisco Cabeza Santillana , president of AMIVE, explained that the objective is to unify the projects, public policies and needs of industry representatives to create a complete ecosystem around the electric vehicle market in Mexico.

“The AMIVE arises from the interest of many actors at the national level to have a representation exclusively focused on electric mobility, we need to make a front to be able to raise the volume on all the initiatives and public policies that are needed. We already have support from good-sized cameras at the national level of transportation, electrical infrastructure,” he said.

He added that the main objective is to promote public policies for electric mobility in a unified way, since until now many efforts have been made in isolation in government, academia and private initiative that must be materialized to the reality of the country.

“All the automotive brands that announced that from 2030 to 2050 they will stop manufacturing internal combustion vehicles means that we have very few years for the country to prepare, because from then on what we will receive are only electric vehicles.” ”, he assured.
