The market for BEV, PHEV and HEV vehicles in Mexico is growing by leaps and bounds. If we compare the total sales of 100% electric vehicles in 2022 compared to the total sales in 2021, we find that this category increased its sales by almost 394%.

Similarly, the trend shows significant growth for this year, since May 2023 (with data from the Administrative Registry of the Automotive Industry of Light Vehicles of INEGI) sales up to this point of the year had already reached more than 73% of total sales in 2022.

An interesting fact is the top 3 of the states with the highest number of electric vehicle sales last year, being Mexico City with 28.6% of sales, Edo. of Mexico with 18.1% and Jalisco with 10.5%.

Finally, the participation of vehicles of this same category in the country's zero and low emission vehicle fleet is noteworthy, where data from May also represent almost 6%
