Electric mobility is coming to revolutionize the world. This industry is developing, growing and is not only limited to cars, but there are also motorcycles, bicycles and scooters that help people move within the urban environment and at the same time free of CO2.
The environmental factor plays an important role when deciding to buy a car and electric vehicles (EV) become an option, however. Their current costs are still high, forcing people to think carefully about their next investment.
Given this need, EVs con Cabeza was born , a space on social networks where Francisco Cabeza, a mobility specialist, for 10 years, takes you through the world of electric vehicles.
What motivated me to be in this sector?
My passion for technology and the environment prompted me to get involved in the electric vehicle sector. I firmly believe in the importance of reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable mobility.
Why make an electric car channel?
I decided to create “EVs with a Head” because ten years ago I saw the need to spread information about electric vehicles. I wanted to help people understand the benefits of electric mobility and how this technology can change our approach to sustainability and the environment.
Do you think it is better to transform your car than to buy one?
The decision to convert or buy an electric car depends on several factors, such as the car model, the cost of the conversion, and individual needs. In some cases, conversion may be a viable option, but in others, purchasing a factory electric vehicle may be more efficient and safer.
How do you see the transition in cars in Mexico compared to other countries?
The transition to electric cars in Mexico is advancing, although perhaps at a slightly slower pace compared to some developed countries. However, we are seeing steady growth in charging infrastructure and greater availability of electric models in the Mexican market.
What options does a person have to move sustainably besides electric cars?
In addition to electric cars, there are several options for getting around sustainably, such as electric bicycles, electric scooters, electric vehicle sharing, and electric public transportation. It is also important to encourage walking and cycling whenever possible.
Do you think it is worth having a car or paying for trips, such as UBER or taxi?
The choice between having your own car and using services such as Uber or taxi depends on individual needs. If the car is used frequently and is needed for daily commuting, ownership may be an option. However, for those who use the car less frequently, ride-sharing services can be more convenient and cost-effective.
In this sector, what has caught your attention or surprised you the most?
What has surprised me most is the rapid evolution of electric vehicle technology. In these ten years, we have seen significant advances in battery range, charging infrastructure and the adoption of electric vehicles around the world. I have also been impressed by people's passion and growing interest in sustainable mobility.
Francisco Cabeza reminds his followers that together they contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future through electric mobility. “Let's continue moving towards a world with more electric cars and fewer emissions. Thank you for being part of this community!”
