BRING BACK THE SKILLED TRADES!

BRING BACK THE SKILLED TRADES!

New data shows that interest in the skilled trades is growing with over 47% of those age 18 to 30 being interested in a career in the skilled trades. This aligns with a 16% increase in trades program enrollments from 2022-23.

Those aren't the only encouraging numbers. Many skilled trades are now seeing median salaries at or approaching 6 figures. With approximately 650k unfilled positions in the construction sector alone, you can expect those number to keep climbing by virtue of supply and demand.

But a career isn't just about money. It's about quality of life and opportunity for advancement. A recent article in Forbes just reported some more favorable numbers about skilled tradespeople as well:

87% of people surveyed said they would choose their career again.

95% feel secure and don't perceive AI as a threat to their jobs.

93% say they are optimistic about earning potentials.

92% are optimistic about advancement opportunities.

So why aren't even more kids choosing the skilled trades? Unfortunately, academia isn't as bullish on the numbers. 59% of students say they feel pressured to attend college while 89% believe that they were wrongfully taught that a degree is the only path to success.

It's our mission at Bring Back the Trades, Inc to educate parents and students about the many excellent career opportunities in the various sectors of the skilled trades including construction, automotive, manufacturing and service industries. We are committed to providing accurate information, mentoring and scholarships to trade schools and continue to develop programs nationwide.
